GDC Bishnah Red Ribbon Club organizes educational visit to Govt Hospital Bishnah

BISHNAH, Feb 10: The Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College (GDC) Bishnah orchestrated a highly informative visit to the Government Hospital Bishnah, aimed at enlightening students about the healthcare facilities available within the community. With over 30 enthusiastic participants, the visit provided a unique opportunity for students to gain insights into the medical infrastructure and services offered by the hospital.
During the visit, students were guided through various wards of the hospital, where they received firsthand information from the hospital's dedicated team regarding first aid and emergency provisions. The interactive session culminated with an enlightening dialogue led by Dr. Nirupum Gupta and Dr. Niteeka, who shed light on critical health issues such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis (TB), and the significance of blood donation. Dr. Gupta and Dr. Niteeka also elucidated on the pivotal initiatives spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare aimed at accelerating India's progress towards TB elimination by the year 2025.
The initiative, conducted under the adept guidance of Dr. Manohar Lal, Principal of GDC Bishnah, aimed not only to educate students but also to foster a sense of community engagement and responsibility towards healthcare initiatives. Dr. Ratika Sharma and Dr. Ashma Gupta, Nodal Officers of the Red Ribbon Club, meticulously organized and coordinated the program, ensuring its smooth execution and maximum impact.
The visit to Govt. Hospital Bishnah served as a testament to the college's commitment to holistic education, emphasizing the importance of health awareness and community involvement among its students.
