Jammu, Feb 11: In a bid to promote sportsmanship and foster a healthy competitive spirit among the youth, Baba Sahib Ambedkar Sports Club, J&K, proudly organized the First Kabaddi Tournament 2024. The tournament took place on February 11, 2024, commencing at 10:00 AM at Prem Resorts, Muthi Akhnoor Road, Jammu, attracting enthusiastic participation from young students across the Jammu province.
A total of 08 teams, comprising talented athletes under nineteen years of age, showcased their athletic prowess in an exhilarating display of skill and teamwork. Notably, the club waived all participation fees, ensuring accessibility for all interested teams.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Chief Guests SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat, SSP Mohan Lal Kaith (Railway), Sh. Bharat Hans, Sh. Ramesh Kumar, S. Narinder Singh, Sh. Vinod Banal, Sh. Ramesh Angral, Sh. Jagdish Ji (Owner, Prem Resorts), Sh. Sham Lal Bassan, Sh. Badri Nath, Sh. DK Bharadwaj, and Smt. Sunita Bangotra. Their presence added to the grandeur of the occasion and encouraged the participants to excel in their sporting endeavors.
The tournament was meticulously organized by Coordinator Ajay, Deputy Coordinator Gourav, and other dedicated members of the club, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all involved.
