JAMMU, Feb 12: J&K Bank is thrilled to share a significant achievement in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) collaboration with Live for Others - Being Helpful Foundation. The initiative, known as "Mission R-SAP (Remove Shyness Apply Pads)," is dedicated to fostering awareness about menstrual hygiene and its taboo in society. It involves the distribution of over 500,000 sanitary napkins and the facilitation of over 100 awareness seminars across all 20 districts of Jammu & Kashmir. The overarching objective is to reach 50,000 individuals, challenging societal taboos surrounding menstruation in our society.
Kupwara, as the 14th district to successfully conclude this mission, witnessed the distribution of upwards of 20,000+ sanitary napkins and the delivery of three impactful awareness lectures, engaging over 2020+ people. These seminars were conducted in various government and private schools, such as Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Kupwara, Govt; Girls Higher Secondary School, Handwara, & Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School, Langate. The resource persons for these seminars included Ayesha Farhana, Gulnaz & Hafsa Arshid.
Urfee, Vice- President, Kashimir Province LFO-BHF, expressed excitement about the positive impact of 'Mission R-SAP' on women's health, and the team eagerly looks forward to expanding the initiative to other districts.
LFO-BHF extends gratitude to the Director School Education Kashmir, C.E.O Kupwara, and the Principals of all participating schools.
Special thanks are conveyed to J&K Bank for organizing this impactful activity through their CSR fund, as acknowledged by Sheikh Shahid, member of LFO-BHF.
