Modi Govt propelled J&K on path of unprecedented progress: Kavinder
2/12/2024 10:30:40 PM
Early Times Report
SAMBA, Feb 12:

Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister, Kavinder Gupta asserted that the Union Government led by PM Narendra Modi has propelled J&K on a path of unprecedented progress as the region witnessed colossal uplift on the social and economical fronts.
Citing the figures recently shared by LG Manoj Sinha over the substantial increase in the GDP of the UT from Rs 1.6 lakh crore in 2018-19 to Rs 2.64 lakh crore in 2021-22, the BJP stalwart leader said that the quantitative data of the prosperity achieved is the testimony to the fact that Modi Government’s policies have resulted into watershed moments for the UT as prosperity and peace are now the new norms with financial standings of the region touching extraordinary heights.
He said that the GDP for the year 2024-25 has been projected at Rs 2,63,399 crore which shows a growth of 7.5 percent, proving the fruitfulness of the BJP Government’s visionary and mission oriented planning for Jammu and Kashmir.
While addressing the meeting of Panches, Sarpanches of Party’s Panchayati Raj Cell in Samba today, Kavinder asserted that time has come when it could be claimed that the region has embarked on a voyage to achieve pinnacle of progress leaving behind the dark era of gloom and distress only because of the insightfulness of PM Modi, who envisaged the path on which the UT is traversing today.
He said that new infrastructure projects, investment incentives, and socio-economic development programmes aimed at empowering local communities and boosting employment opportunities have played a crucial role in the progress which the region has achieved in the last few years after the significant move of making Article 370 null and void by the Modi Government.
He also underscored the government’s commitment to inclusive development, emphasizing efforts to address longstanding issues and bridge developmental gaps in the region.
Highlighting the recent influx of investments and the expansion of key sectors such as tourism, agriculture, and industry, Kavinder expressed optimism about the region’s prospects for sustained growth and prosperity.
The former Deputy Chief Minister also lauded the successful implementation of central government schemes and flagship initiatives in Jammu and Kashmir, citing them as catalysts for socio-economic transformation and empowerment.
He said that since the Modi government continues to prioritize development and empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir, it has become necessary that people should extend unconditional support to BJP in all the political contests to see the sea change in development scenario in the coming times as well.
Kavinder urged party workers to gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and ensure that people are informed about the key achievements of the Modi government.
Prominent among those who were present include Kashmir Singh, District President Samba, DDC member Subhash Bhagat, Sarpanch Surjeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Girdhari Lal, Puneet Mahajan and Bharat Bhushan.
