NSS unit of GDC RS Pura organizes college beautification drive

RS PURA, Feb 13: NSS Unit of Govt. Degree College R. S Pura conducts College Beautification Drive in the College premises on second day under "7days Special Winter Camp".The program was held under the patronage of the College Principal, Dr. Rajni Bhagat. A group of 40 students participated in Two hour-long drive on the College campus. They Painted the tree stump in Tricolor and also prepared Tricolor Decorative Stones which were used for beautification of college gardens. The main purpose of the event was to channelise the non-recyclable waste into some constructive work. The Principal of the College, Dr.Rajni Bhagat emphasized that the objective of organizing such a programme was not just to clean the surroundings but to create awareness. She also appreciated the efforts of students who paint the trees and un-useable stones. She encouraged students to inculcate a spirit of selfless service in them and use their creative potential in innovative ways in the College campus to develop it in a beautiful place like their homes. The events were successfully conducted under the guidance of Dr. Chanchal Angral, NSS PO and coordinated by the members of the organizing committee viz. Dr. Hari Singh, Prof Shelly Kalsi and Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch.
