JKPSCC hosts inter-school symposium on road safety

KATHUA, Feb 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC), in collaboration with the Regional Transport Office, Kathua, orchestrated a dynamic Inter-School Symposium on Road Safety at Nav Adarsh Hr. Sec. School, Kathua. Under the theme "Enhancing Urban Road Safety: Innovations, Policies, and Community Engagement," the symposium emerged as a beacon of dialogue, collaboration, and innovative ideas aimed at fostering safer road environments in urban settings.
Distinguished guests, including Kewal Krishan, Regional Transport Officer, as the Chief Guest, and Jugal Kishore Sharma, Additional Transport Officer, as the Guest of Honour, alongside Jatinder Singh, Motor Vehicle Inspector, graced the occasion, lending their expertise and support to the cause of road safety. Representatives from various private schools, teachers, and enthusiastic students gathered at the symposium to exchange insights, innovations, and strategies to enhance road safety in urban landscapes.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Principal Nav Adarsh and Gen Sec. JKPSCC, Riti Prakash Singh Katal, setting the stage for constructive discussions. Students showcased exemplary performances, underscoring their dedication and commitment to road safety initiatives.
In his address, RTO Kathua, Kewal Krishan, shed light on the critical issues surrounding road safety, emphasizing the collective responsibility of communities, policymakers, and individuals in ensuring safer roads for all. His insights provided a comprehensive understanding of challenges and potential solutions in urban road safety.
Satpal Badyal, President JKPSCC, Kathua, expressed heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee, extending a warm vote of thanks to all participants, supporters, and contributors for their invaluable contributions to the symposium's success.
Prominent figures present included Gandharb Singh Katal, Yograj Sharma, Kapil Dev Sharma, Mahipal Saharma, Ravinder Singh, among others. The event was efficiently coordinated by Naman Jamwal and Rachna Lakhanpuria, ensuring a seamless flow of activities throughout the symposium.
