GDC Vijaypur organises lecture on career counselling

JAMMU, Feb 14: Career Counselling Cell of GDC Vijaypur in collaboration with Department of Commerce organized a highly successful career counselling session aimed at guiding students towards informed and confident career choices. Students of the college attended the lecture enthusiastically with great fervor and zeal.
Principal of the college Dr. (Prof.) Vandana Gupta addressed the students and emphasized that career counselling helps to overcome the obstacles and chalk out the path to career success by providing relevant knowledge and further added that the students should adopt the best practices that will pave the way to career success. The right knowledge will build the confidence, boast the morale and overcomes barriers easily.
Convenor of the Career Counselling Cell and HOD Commerce, Prof. Mamta Gupta welcomed the students and impressed upon that career counselling is particularly important for students. She further stated that students are at a critical juncture in their lives when they need to make decisions that can significantly impact their future. Career Counselling for students significantly impact their educational and professional trajectories.
Resource Person, Aryan Verma, Centre Head of T.I.M.E Jammu, started the lecture by throwing light on career counselling options and discussed in detail about career jobs and aspirations; networking strategies; assessment of skills advancement; work values and references; entrepreneurship exploration and global perspectives.
Nearabout hundred students attended the lecture. The lecture was coordinated by Prof. Mamta Gupta, Convenor, Career Counselling Cell and Head, Department of Commerce.
