GDC Billawar raises awareness on road safety

JAMMU, Feb 14: Billawar, Jammu and Kashmir - February 14, 2024: Government Degree College (GDC) Billawar organized a vibrant rally today to promote road safety awareness in the local community. Held under the guidance of Principal Dr. Alka Sharma, the rally saw enthusiastic participation from NCC, NSS volunteers, and members of the college's Road Safety Club.
Flagged off by Prof. Raj Kiran Sharma and Prof. Naresh Sharma, the rally featured over 50 students and volunteers chanting slogans and urging residents to follow traffic rules for their own safety and the safety of others.
The message resonated clearly: road safety is the key to a long life.
The Road Safety Club, led by Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Prof. Kanchan Mala, and Prof. Sunita Devi, played a crucial role in organizing and managing the rally. NCC Officer Akshay Sharma and NSS PO Prof. Bansi Lal also provided valuable support, ensuring the rally's smooth execution.
This initiative by GDC Billawar highlights the importance of community engagement in promoting road safety awareness.
By educating residents about responsible traffic behavior, the college aims to contribute to a safer and healthier environment for all.
