Early Times Report
KATHUA, Feb 14: In a concerted effort to promote road safety awareness, the Road Safety Club at Government Degree College (GDC) Kathua, in collaboration with NSS units, successfully concluded a month-long National Road Safety Campaign. The campaign, which commenced on January 15th and culminated on February 14th, 2024, engaged students, faculty members, and volunteers both within and outside the college premises. The finale of the campaign witnessed a significant event as participants gathered in the college premises to take a solemn pledge to adhere to traffic regulations and prioritize road safety measures. Meenakshi Bakshi, the senior-most NSS volunteer, led the reading of the pledge, symbolizing a collective commitment towards safer roads.
Throughout the month, a series of activities were organized, including slogan writing and poster making competitions, door-to-door campaigns, and lectures on road safety. These activities were not limited to the college campus.
