GDC Ramgarh organised voter awareness day

RAMGARH, Feb 15: NSS unit Prabha of Government Degree College, Ramgarh today organised a Program on 'Voter Awareness' under a Two-week Voter Awareness Campaign.
The program was organised under the able guidance and supervision of Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra. Speaking on the occasion, she said that voting is a fundamental act of civic participation through which young people contribute to democracy. While it's just one of many ways to engage in civic life, it is a powerful way for young people to make their voices heard and to have an impact on issues that affect them. She also informed students about the SVEEP flagship program started by Election Commission.
The whole programme was organised by Dr. Brham Dutt Sharma, HoD, Dogri, NSS Program Officer. The Resource Person of the event was Ajay Kumar Dubey who is BLO's supervisor. He threw light on the value of the vote that can make the citizens the real rulers for the governance of the country. He also raised awareness among young minds regarding the importance of Voting and the Electoral process.
The event concluded by formal vote of thanks by Dr. Shivali Choudhary.
The faculty members who were present in the programme included Prof. Sandeep Kumari, Dr. Ekta Rani, Dr. Imitiyaz, Priya Sharma, Akansha, Ram Murti, Fayaz Ahmed, Anil Sharma, Sonali Dutta and Sunil Kumar.
