AIIMS Jammu crucial support system for Trauma Care, Disaster Management in J&K

JAMMU, Feb 15: The Executive Director & CEO of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu, Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta, underscores the institution's steadfast dedication to serving the general public and Security Forces in the UT of J&K, Ladakh, and neighbouring states in North India. He said, AIIMS Jammu pledges to deliver exemplary care for trauma victims, encompassing those afflicted by road traffic accidents, firearm injuries, blast injuries, and disasters of any nature.
The Director communicated that recognizing the alarming toll of road traffic accidents, particularly among the young and working populace, AIIMS Jammu vows to institute specialized protocols and facilities to promptly attend to the unique needs of such victims. Furthermore, Prof Gupta acknowledged the prevalent challenge of blast and firearm injuries affecting security forces. The Director assured that AIIMS Jammu with a skilled trauma and emergency team will be fully equipped to manage such cases with precision and effectiveness.
He further informed that Time is the paramount and decisive factor in achieving optimal outcomes for healthcare services. Recognizing this, AIIMS Jammu has installed a helipad to ensure timely transportation of individuals in need to the institute.
In a special message to Security Forces Personnel, Prof (Dr) Shakti Kumar Gupta shared his feelings conveying, "As the Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Jammu, I extend my deepest appreciation and gratitude to every soldier for their unwavering dedication in defending our nation.
