REASI, Feb 15: District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, along with Chief Horticulture Officer, Rajinder Kumar on Thursday flagged off a group of thirty farmers for a day-long exposure tour to the Mega Fruit Plant Nursery in R S Pura, Jammu. The aimed to empower farmers with the latest knowledge and skills essential for enhancing fruit production and, subsequently, augmenting their income levels. This training program is part of a broader strategy to equip farmers with contemporary horticulture practices, catalyzing the socio-economic growth of the farming community in Reasi. DDC Mahajan highlighted the significance of such training programs, expressing confidence that the acquired knowledge and expertise will enable farmers to significantly improve their yield and financial well-being. The enthusiasm among the participating farmers is palpable, reflecting their eagerness to learn and implement innovative horticultural techniques.
