JAMMU, Feb 16: Department of Economics at Central University of Jammu post graduate students had the privilege of visiting the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) Jammu & Kashmir Regional Office, Jammu.
The highlight of the programme was an enlightening address by Bhallamudi Sridhar, NABARD Chief General Manager, who shared valuable insights into the organization's mission, vision, and ongoing initiatives. His words resonated deeply with the students, offering them a first-hand glimpse into the challenges and opportunities in the realm of rural development.
Moreover, an engaging presentation by Anamika, General Manager at NABARD, provided an in-depth overview of NABARD's genesis, organizational structure, as well as its multifaceted roles and functions. Her presentation shed light on NABARD's pivotal role in promoting sustainable agriculture, rural infrastructure, and inclusive financial services across the country. Following the presentations, an interactive question and answer session ensued, allowing the students to delve deeper into the intricacies of NABARD's initiatives.
