Sarveshwar foods conducts vocational skill program for students

JAMMU, Feb 16: Sarveshwar Foods Limited, a leading producer of basmati rice and other food products, organized a vocational skill program for students at its SIDCO complex on February 16, 2024. The program was part of the New Education Policy - 2020, an initiative of the Government of India to promote skill development and awareness among the students. The program was attended by 30 students and their teachers from Govt. Middle school Deon and Kund Zone Purmandal district Samba. The participating students were appraised about the process involved in producing high quality rice. They also gained practical knowledge of how the finished product is packaged and marketed. In addition the participants also took part in awareness camp on "Value of Organic food in our daily life" organized by "Sarveshwar Smiles Foundation" in the premises of the Company "Himalayan Bio-Organic Foods Ltd.". The visiting students were highly motivated with such type of program. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Gayatri Tandon appraised that Organic produce is fresh in nature, free from chemicals & pesticides, more sustainable, preserves the environment and is healthier and tastier. Speaking on the occasion Mahadeep Singh Jamwal an executive of the Foundation apprized the visiting team about aims and objectives of the Sarveshwar Smiles Foundation. Chairperson of the foundation Madam Pooja Gupta distributed the gifts and certificates of participation. Others present on the occasion were Sh. Suraj Prakash Gupta (Papa Jee), trustee of the Foundation and Bhivu from trustees family. Mansoor Khan, Arvind Bhan, Narinder Singh Jamwal, Surat Singh, Verinder Kumar co-ordinated the program.
