DIC hosts awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma scheme

JAMMU, Feb 16: District Industries Centre Jammu, in collaboration with the District Administration today hosted an awareness programme on PM Vishwakarma scheme here in Teachers Bhavan for the stakeholders. The awareness event was chaired by Joint Director IEDS, MSME DFO, G Velladurai.
The PM Vishwakarma scheme has been launched on Sep 17, 2023 by the Prime Minister. Under the scheme 18 categories of artisans have been covered. After successful registration at CSC and due step wise verifications by the authorities, the artisans will be eligible for a toolkit of Rs. 15000; A Collateral free loan up to Rs. 300000 at just 5% interest rate.

At the outset, Rajesh Kumar, IEDS Assistant Director delivered welcome address and a brief about the seminar. Detailed presentation and clarifications regarding the registrations process of the scheme was given by D K Tyagi, IEDS Assistant Director Officer from MSME DFO, Jammu.
Representatives of CSC Centre, Ministry of Skill Development Government of India and Lead District Manager gave presentations on the role of their respective Department in PM Vishwakarma verification & execution.
Guest of honour, Shehzada, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Jammu motivated the participants and officers of district administration to bring maximum number of potential beneficiaries on the platform to enable them to take benefits from this scheme.
