SWD organises Sensitization, CBI program on Juvenile Justice Act, 2015

SAMBA, Feb 16: The Social Welfare Department Samba today hosted a sensitization and training program here in the conference hall of DDC office Complex as part of Mission Vatsalya to boost child protection efforts. The aim was to educate everyone about Mission Vatsalya Guidelines, the role of CWC, JJB and CCI, ensuring better child protection measures.
Superintendent of Child Care Institute Parisha presided over the function.
The event witnessed participation of more than 300 individuals from various stakeholders departments, including representative from the ICDS Samba, Medical professionals, Labour authorities, Education specialists and officers/ officials from DCPU, CHL, OSC Samba.
Child Welfare Committee Chairperson Neemisha Rajput delivered lecture on functioning of Child Welfare Committee and Juvenile Justice Board through power point presentation.
Later, Advocate Hitesh Sharma from District Legal Service Authority Samba highlighted the provision of various legislations like Juvenile Justice Act, 2015.Further, Advocate Tania Pargal from District Legal Service Authority highlighted the provision of free legal aid.
This is was followed by an in- depth orientation of the program by District Social Welfare Officer Samba, Nawaz Sharief.
