2/16/2024 11:31:08 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 16: Ritika Trehan, the Chief Spokesperson of BJP Mahila Morcha J&KUT, spearheaded the 'Gaon Chalo campaign' in the village of Ismailpur Kothey, Bishnah constituency, emphasizing the pivotal role of women in rural development. Addressing a gathering of rural women, Ritika underscored the achievements and future plans of the BJP, focusing on schemes aimed at empowering citizens.
Ritika highlighted the transformative impact of schemes such as the Ujjawala Yojana, Vishwakarma Scheme, Har Ghar Nal Yojana, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, and the vaccination program, initiated under the BJP regime. She described the 'Gaon Chalo campaign' as an endeavor to deliver these schemes directly to the villages, thereby facilitating growth and development at the grassroots level.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ritika emphasized the significant strides made in rural upliftment, with 25 crore people lifted out of poverty in the last decade. She expressed confidence that with continued support, India, under PM Modi's leadership, would emerge as the third-largest economy, reaffirming the vision of a prosperous 'Viksit Bharat.'
Ritika attributed the BJP's increasing vote share to the popularity of PM Modi and the success of flagship schemes such as the construction of toilets (Izzat Ghar), houses for the poor (PM Awas Yojna), and piped water supply (Har Ghar Nal), benefiting people across caste and religious lines. In her strategy to engage with NGOs and self-help groups, Ritika outlined plans for outreach programs aimed at financially empowering women. She stressed the importance of financial independence in combating societal evils and fostering assertiveness among women. Ritika announced initiatives such as free makeup training for rural women, aiming to enhance their economic self-reliance. Recognizing the immense potential of women in rural areas, Ritika emphasized the need for them to realize their capabilities for overall societal development. She reiterated that financial independence serves as a cornerstone of women's empowerment, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
