Jammu, Feb 16: Senior BJP leaders reached Delhi to devise a strategy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Highly placed sources said that during the national executive meeting, J&K-based party leaders will separately meet with the national president JP Nadda, and other senior leaders to devise a strategy for the coming Parliamentary polls.
Sources said that the BJP high command is very particular about increasing its tally of the 2019 elections by winning atleast one Parliamentary seat from Kashmir Valley.

After delimitation Poonch and Rajouri districts, having a considerable number of Gujjar-Bakerwal, Pahari Muslim, and Hindu voters, have been added to the Anantnag Lok Sabha
In the last Lok Sabha elections of 2019, nearly 90 percent of Anantnag’s electorate was Kashmiri Muslim, with Gujjar-Bakerwals making up only 10%.
After the delimitation, the number of Gujjar-Bakerwal voters is estimated to have increased to 30-35%, besides a significant increase in the number of Paharis, including Hindus.
