Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 17: In a bid to foster holistic development among its students, the National College of Education (NCE) recently organized a groundbreaking programme centered on integrated positive psychological activities. Spearheaded by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the event aimed to delve into various dimensions of student well-being, happiness, and positive attributes.
The programme, drawing inspiration from the principles of positive psychology, transcended mere emotional gratification, focusing on broader aspects such as optimism, hope, and joy. Embracing a multifaceted approach, the activities encompassed strength and value-based exercises, muscle relaxation techniques, gratitude journaling, tug of war, and guided meditation sessions.
Students enthusiastically participated in the diverse array of activities, which included dancing, singing, and interactive games, fostering an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy. Through their engagement, participants gained insights into their personal strengths and weaknesses, fostering self-awareness and balance in their lives.
Prospective educators, displaying remarkable zeal and enthusiasm, actively contributed to every facet of the programme. The event not only served as a refreshing interlude but also provided a platform for self-discovery and exploration.
Commending the students' wholehearted involvement, Dr. Manju Diwedi, the Principal of NCE, lauded their commitment to the programme's objectives. The seamless execution of the event was attributed to the diligent efforts of the faculty members.
Among the distinguished guests present were Er. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Yashumati Jamwal, Neetu Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Anisha Jamwal, Payal Sethi, Kusum Lata, Arti Verma, Abhinav Sharma, and others, whose presence added to the vibrancy of the occasion.
The resounding success of the programme underscores NCE's commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also holistic well-being among its students, preparing them to navigate life's challenges with resilience and optimism.
