Nagrota, Feb 17: Vibrant colors, spirited performances, and a strong sense of camaraderie adorned the grounds of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya as the school hosted its Annual Sports Day today, resonating with the theme “Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together.” The event, attended by over 500 enthusiastic students from all classes, unfolded with great fervor and participation.
Chief Guest Sunita Dahiya, wife of Principal R. K. Dahiya, graced the occasion alongside more than 200 parents, adding to the festive atmosphere. The ceremony commenced with a ceremonial guard of honor presented by NCC cadets, the prefectorial council, and Scouts and Guides of the school, followed by the lighting of the lamp and hoisting of the Kendriya Vidyalaya flag. Mr. Amreik Singh, TGT (PHE), extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests, setting the stage for an eventful day ahead.
The highlight of the event was the spectacular field displays, featuring captivating performances such as a welcome song, sack race, frog race, bag race, Zumba dance, artistic yoga demonstrations, and various other races, leaving spectators awestruck with their exuberance and skill.
The festivities continued with track events, including the thrilling 100-meter race for both teachers and parents, symbolizing unity and active participation across all segments of the school community. Recognition and applause filled the air as prizes were distributed among the deserving winners by Chief Guest Mrs. Sunita Dahiya and Principal Mr. R.K. Dahiya, acknowledging their dedication and sportsmanship.
Mr. Ritesh Mishra and Mrs. Rajeshwari Sharma orchestrated the event with finesse, ensuring seamless transitions and keeping the audience engaged throughout. The event culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Sh. P.K. Jolly, PGT (Physics), expressing gratitude to all participants, organizers, and supporters for making the Annual Sports Day a resounding success.
