Jammu, Feb 16: The atmosphere at Impression World Preschool was brimming with energy and enthusiasm as students, parents, and staff came together to celebrate the annual sports day with fervor on February 16th, 2024.
The festivities kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an inaugural address by the esteemed chief guest, Squadron Leader Anil Sehgal, accompanied by Mrs. Seema Anil Sehgal. The event commenced with an exhilarating drill performance by all the students, showcasing their agility and coordination. Notably, parents actively participated alongside their children and the school staff, further enhancing the sense of camaraderie and community spirit.
Adding a touch of symbolism, students of Senior KG took on the role of torchbearers, symbolizing the spirit of unity and progress as they relayed the torch one by one. A plethora of sports events awaited the young participants, ranging from track events to engaging games like Obstacle Race, Brick Race, Hoola Hoop, and Water Relay, fostering a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork.
Chief Guest, Anil Sehgal, urged children to cherish their childhood moments and not succumb to the pressures of a competitive world, emphasizing the importance of enjoying every milestone and fostering independence. He commended the active involvement of parents in the races, applauding their support and encouragement towards their children’s endeavors.
In a heartwarming gesture, all participants were awarded medals to acknowledge their efforts and keep their spirits high. Principal Shivani Sharma underscored the significance of nurturing a sporting spirit among children, reiterating the preschool’s commitment to holistic development.
“We have been organizing the Sports Day every year to ensure the holistic development of kids,” stated Principal Shivani Sharma, highlighting the school’s dedication to providing a well-rounded educational experience.
The event culminated with a vote of thanks by Principal Shivani Sharma, expressing gratitude to all participants, guests, and organizers for their unwavering support and contribution to making the annual sports day a memorable success. Squadron Leader Anil Sehgal lauded Impression World Preschool’s collective effort and the visionary leadership of Principal Shivani Sharma, affirming the school’s commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering a culture of excellence.
