SAMBA, Feb 20: In a relentless effort to combat illegal mining activities in Samba district, the Samba Police have seized four dumpers within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur. These dumpers were found to be involved in the unauthorized transportation and mining of construction materials.
A vigilant police team, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Vijaypur, conducted patrolling duties in the area when they encountered the illegal activity. Subsequently, the four dumpers bearing registration numbers JK02CH-4159, JK08H-0313, JK08K-8007, and JK02DH-0899 were confiscated by the police.
The seized vehicles have been handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further necessary action. This crackdown on illegal mining reflects the commitment of the Samba Police to uphold the law and protect the natural resources of the region.
