Week long activities organized at GDC Ghagwal

JAMMU, Feb 22: Under the patronage of Madam Principal, Dr Sujata Salathia, the HOD Political Science Dr. Rahul Verma, and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Vani Awasthi, jointly executed a number of activities on the occasion of a two week long voters awareness campaign in educational institutions. On 16-02-2024, an interactive session was held between the students and Dr. Rahul Verma the HOD Political Science where he elaborated on the theme of the voters campaign "Chunav ka Parv, Desh ka Garv". In another event, the students promoted the theme through wise and whimsical Poetry. On 17-02-2024, a motivational short video session was organised about "Why elections are important for a democratic country like India?" On 19-02-2024, an essay writing competition was organised which was centered around the theme "I Vote for Sure". On 21-02-2024, a pledge taking ceremony was administered by Dr. Rahul Verma wherein students and the college staff took the pledge which was centered around the theme "Chunav ka Parv, Desh ka Garv". On day fifth dated 22-02-2024, GDC Ghagwal organised a painting competition revolving around the theme "Chunav ka Parv, Desh ka Garv". All in all these week long activities imparted much valuable knowledge to the students and the staff about voting and its importance in making India the biggest democratic country in the world.
