GDC Ramgarh organizes a Traditional Food Exhibition

RAMGARH, Feb 22: The National Service Scheme unit 'Prabha' of Government Degree College Ramgarh organised a traditional food exhibition in the college premises today. The exhibition was organised on day four of the ongoing '7 Days NSS Winter Camp'. This exhibition was conducted under the able guidance and leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College. Speaking on the occasion regarding the exhibition, she said that the exhibition is an initiative to mark awareness and the importance of heritage food items of Dogra culture. The exhibition was focused on local heritage food which involved sharing good practices and practical demonstrations by NSS Volunteers. The chief guest of the event was Surinder Sharma, Head Master of GHS Swankha adopted school of GDC Ramgarh and the other local guests present were Ajay Kumar and Ashwani Dubey. A large number of NSS Volunteers displayed the traditional dishes prepared by them. Prof. Brahm Dutt Sharma, the NSS Programme Officer, motivated the NSS volunteers to participate in such activities with zeal and enthusiasm. He said that these activities provided a great opportunity for students to showcase their cooking skills.
