Comprehensive training initiatives enhance law enforcement capabilities at SKPA

JAMMU, Feb 22: In a proactive step towards enhancing law enforcement capabilities, the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) recently commenced a five-day course on new criminal laws. The course, attended by 50 officers and officials ranging from the rank of Constable to Inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, aims to provide participants with a deep understanding of the significant changes in the legal landscape. The primary objective of the course is to equip law enforcement personnel with the necessary knowledge and understanding of contemporary criminal laws, ensuring they are well-prepared to address evolving challenges. Through interactive discussions and comparative analyses of old and new laws, officers and officials engaged in comprehensive learning sessions aimed at enhancing their comprehension and application of legal principles.
An inaugural function marked the commencement of the course at SKPA, with Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor, Trgs), presiding as the chief guest. In his address, Gupta extended a warm welcome to all participants and emphasized the importance of staying abreast of new legal developments. He underscored the commitment of SKPA to providing relevant and comprehensive training to personnel, emphasizing the significance of continuous learning in law enforcement practices.
The coordination of the course was overseen by Rakesh Sambyal, CPO SKPA, with assistance from SI Subash Chander, a faculty member of SKPA. Their efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the program, facilitating meaningful learning experiences for all participants.
In addition to the course on new criminal laws, SKPA recently concluded a four-day training program on Social Media Investigation and Data Analytics. Seventeen officers ranging from the rank of SI to DySP participated in this initiative, aimed at enhancing their proficiency in leveraging digital tools for effective law enforcement.
A validation function marked the conclusion of the Social Media Investigation and Data Analytics course, with Shri Rakesh Sambyal, CPO SKPA, presiding as the chief guest. Certificates of participation were distributed among the participants, acknowledging their dedication to advancing their skills in the realm of digital investigation.
These training initiatives underscore SKPA's commitment to fostering a skilled and knowledgeable cadre of law enforcement personnel, equipped to tackle emerging challenges and uphold the principles of justice and security in society. As the landscape of crime and technology evolves, such proactive measures ensure that police personnel remain at the forefront of effective law enforcement practices.
