Five-day crash course on New Criminal Laws commences at PTTI

VIJAYPUR, Feb 22: A significant initiative aimed at enhancing law enforcement capabilities kicked off today at the Police Training and Technology Institute (PTTI) in Vijaypur. The institution is hosting a comprehensive five-day Crash Course on the recently promulgated New Criminal Laws-2023. Attended by 50 esteemed police personnel, including Station House Officers (SHOs), Incharge Police Posts, and Investigating Officers from various units across the Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range, the course aims to acquaint participants with the critical provisions of the new legislation.
Conducted under the auspices of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters, the course has been designed to ensure that officers are well-versed in the nuances of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023. These laws, recently enacted by the Central Government, demand thorough understanding and effective implementation to uphold justice and security.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of Dushyant Sharma, SSP, who delivered an inspiring address, urging participants to grasp the intricacies of the new legislation for its diligent enforcement. Highlighting the significance of the occasion, Pawan Khajuria, Retd. Joint Director Prosecution, shared valuable insights into tackling contemporary law enforcement challenges through a deep understanding of the New Criminal Laws. The event also saw the participation of distinguished officials including Shri Khushwant Singh, Dy.SP (Admn.), Surrinder Paul, Dy.SP (Indoor/Tech.), and Ch. Asif Iqbal, Sr. PO, among others. Ram Lal, Inspr. Surinder Singh, and Inspr. Mulkh Raj contributed their expertise as well, underscoring the collaborative effort to ensure the success of this vital training initiative.
With a focus on equipping law enforcement personnel with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate evolving legal landscapes, the Crash Course on New Criminal Laws-2023 at PTTI Vijaypur sets a commendable precedent in professional development within the policing community.
