GDC Ramgarh leads Awareness Rally on 'Nasha Mukt Bharat'

RAMGARH, Feb 23: In a proactive move towards fostering a 'Nasha Mukt Bharat' (Substance Abuse-Free India), the NSS Unit 'Prabha' of Government Degree College, Ramgarh, orchestrated an impactful awareness rally and nukkad natak. Held as part of the '7 Days NSS Winter Camp', the event garnered significant participation from both NSS volunteers and students alike.
Under the esteemed guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Geetanjali Andotra, the Principal of the College, the initiative aimed to disseminate awareness about substance abuse across various strata of society. Addressing the attendees, Dr. Andotra emphasized the pivotal role of educational institutions in driving societal change. She urged the volunteers and students to actively engage in initiatives that promote awareness among local communities, lauding the NSS Committee for their proactive stance.
Prof. Braham Dutt Sharma, the NSS Programme Officer, provided insights into the event's proceedings and briefed the participants on adhering to traffic regulations during the rally. He underscored the importance of such endeavors for societal betterment, encouraging students to be catalysts for positive change.
The awareness rally traversed from the College premises to the adopted village of 'Kalah' and its vicinity, culminating in a stirring nukkad natak performance at the local high school. NSS volunteers and students showcased their fervor by actively participating in the rally and delivering powerful messages through street theater. Slogans echoing the campaign's message resonated throughout the rally route.
Faculty members, including Prof. Braham Dutt Sharma, PTI Ashok Kumar, Dr. Imtiyaz Ahmed Bhatt, Mr. Ram Murti, and Ms. Sonali Dutta, also lent their support to the initiative, further amplifying its impact.
The event stands as a testament to the College's commitment to fostering a society free from the scourge of substance abuse, signaling a collective resolve towards building a healthier and more vibrant community.
