JAMMU, Feb 23: As a part of usual practice, the student's council of semester - I of K.C. College of Education was elected on 23rd February, 2024. The different positions for which the students contested were Class Representatives, Academic Secretary, Sports Secretary, Cultural Secretary, NSS Secretary and Environmental Club Secretary. The aspiring students put forward their candidature for every position. Each one of them tried best to convince the voters in their favour. The election process was carried out by making use of secret ballot and results announced after counting the votes properly.
Aman and Sakshi Chib were elected as class representatives while Riti Gadyal, Komal Bhau, Kuldeep Kumar, Tamana Chib and Deepak were elected Cultural Secretary, Environmental Club Secretary, NSS Secretary, Academic Secretary and Sports Secretary respectively.
This was followed by investiture ceremony wherein the elected students were given badges and sashes pertaining to their duties. A colourful cultural programme was also organized as a mark of welcome to the newly elected members.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sanjay Tickoo congratulated them and apprised them of their responsibilities as liaison between students and college. The programme was convened by Dr. Puja Sharma, Convenor Cultural Club. |
