MVD challans 22 vehicles in Kathua

Kathua, Feb 23: After taking charge of RTO Kathua, Kewal Krishna has continued surgical strikes on traffic rule violators. Once again RTO Kathua conducted a big enforcement drive on National Highway Kathua and challaned 22 vehicles and collected a fine of Rs One Lakh Forty Five Thousand Five Hundred (Rs. 1,45,500 Lakh) on the spot and the fine is expected to be recovered. Rs 2.50 lakh from the challan.
According to reports, the enforcement operation was launched under the supervision of RTO Kathua Kewal Krishna JKAS. RTO Kathua team consisting of ARTO Jugal Kishore Sharma, MVI Ranjeev Bhasin and MVD staff conducted a road checking operation on Jammu Pathankot National Highway at Lakhanpur strategically deployed at important places to enhance road safety. During the checking the team examined 80 vehicles. At least 22 vehicles were challaned for various violations and a fine of Rs 2.50 lakh was imposed on the violators on the spot and a fine of Rs 2.50 lakh is expected to be recovered from the challan. Not only this, the team also seized four passenger autos under Section 207 of the MV Act 1988.
RTO Kathua Kewal Krishna said that on Friday morning, surprise nakas were put up at major places on Lakhanpur Kathua Road, during checking, challan was issued to 22 vehicles and fine was collected on the spot and four passenger autos were also seized under Section 207 of MV Act 1988. Were confiscated. It also said that many complaints were coming regarding overloaded dumpers, during checking the team stopped 6 dumpers which were found overloaded and the team issued challan on the spot. He said that if any vehicle is found overloaded, it will not be spared at any cost and strict action will be taken against them under the law.
