| Anjuman condoles demise of Khalid, Koul | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 24- Anjuman Farogh-e-Urdu held under the Chairmanship of its President Amin Banihali has condoled the death of a reputed journalist, author and a reporter of par-excellence Khalid Hassan of Pakistan, who died at North Virginia about two weeks ago at the age of 74. He was reported to be ailing for sometime. Khalid Hassan who belonged to Jammu had migrated to Pakistan and later settled at Virginia. He was regularly writing for the Kashmir Times and his articles had earned him great respect in this part of the country as well. Anjuman has also condoled the death of Prof. B.L. Kaul, an eminent writer of Kashmir and Hindi languages. He had retired as Head of Hindi Department of Kashmir University. He was the first to get the Doctor of Literature degree from the Kashmir University. J&K Cultural Academy had awarded him three times for his Kashmiri books. Dr. Kaul had authored more than three dozen books, the latest being “Shaksiyat-ta-Fan” in Kashmiri that was released about two months back Dr. Kaul died at the age of 68. Anjuman paid tributes to both the stalwarts of their fields and prayed that their soles may rest in peace. On this occasion the members were informed that Anjuman along with Citizen’s Club Jammu would be honouring the internationally known poet of the state Arsh Sehbai at K.L. Saigal hall of the Cultural Academy on March 01 at 4 PM.
