| GDC Khour organizes cleanliness drive | | |  Early Times Report
KHOUR, Feb 26: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College Khour has demonstrated its commitment to cleanliness & community welfare by organizing a dedicated cleanliness drive in adopted pond (water body) at village Dhangri, Naryana on the 4th Day of the ongoing 07 Days NSS Special Winter Camp. The drive was conducted under the able leadership of Prof. (Dr) T. K. Sharma, Principal and under the supervision of Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, NSS Programme Officer. About 35 NSS volunteers of the College participated in the cleanliness drive of the pond with the aim to revamp and conserve the natural water source to prevent its slow deterioration due to pollution. The revamping work include removal of filth, weeds, piled up plastic waste from the pond to ensure its cleanliness as it serves as drinking water for various animals like cows, horses, sheep etc of the local area. The principal of the College appreciated the efforts and dedication of NSS volunteers. |
