JAMMU, Feb 27: In a proactive endeavor to address the pervasive issue of drug addiction, K.C. College of Education organized an impactful awareness camp on its premises today, February 27, 2024. The camp, conducted under the auspices of "Project Najaath," signifies a collaborative initiative between the college and J&K Bank, supported by the SPVLG Artisan Foundation. This initiative aims to combat the growing menace of drug addiction, particularly among students, by providing counseling and necessary measures for rehabilitation.
Resource persons from the organization, leading the awareness session, emphasized the critical need to prevent drug abuse among students. Through insightful lectures and interactive discussions, they highlighted the detrimental effects of drug addiction on individuals and society at large. The session underscored the importance of early intervention, counseling, and support systems to assist individuals in overcoming addiction.
The camp witnessed active participation from approximately 50 students, alongside faculty members, who demonstrated a strong commitment to combatting the multifaceted challenges associated with drug abuse. Their engagement reflected a collective resolve to create a drug-free environment within the college community and beyond.
Priya Gupta, extending gratitude on behalf of the organizing committee, conveyed a heartfelt vote of thanks to all participants and resource persons for their invaluable contributions to the awareness camp. She expressed optimism regarding the positive impact of such initiatives in raising awareness and fostering a culture of prevention and support.
