SSP Reasi holds police-public meeting

REASI, Feb 27: Continuing unwavering efforts to bridge the gap between police & public, Reasi Police facilitated Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings at Katra.
The meeting was chaired by Mohita Sharma-IPS, SSP Reasi, Vipan Chandran-JKPS, SP Katra, SDPO Katra Surinder Singh Baloria Ahmed and SHO P/S Katra were also present in the meeting. The meeting was attended by Civil Society members and respectables of the area. During the meeting, participants highlighted various issues of public importance, and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. While speaking on the occasion, it was reiterated that policing at grass root level in the District would be revamped to enhance proficiencies of the cops and to develop confidence among the people.
The Participants were stressed to co-operate with Police in maintaining law and order in the area and in identification of anti-national elements who try to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere.
Addressing the gatherings, the officers said that police is making all out efforts in wiping out the curse of drug menace. Officers also exhorted the participants to come forward and support the Police in making Reasi a drug free district, for which participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police and Administration in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
Further, officers urged participants to keep strict watch on their wards so that they don't indulge in criminal activities. The meeting concluded with good note of thanks and appreciations from public.
