| Drive against bovine smuggling continues, 2 bovine smugglers arrested | | |  Early Times Report
SAMBA, Feb 27: Intensifying drive against the bovine smugglers and their abettors in the district, Samba Police has foiled yet another bovine smuggling attempt in successive day, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued nine bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
A Police Party of Police Post Goran headed by Incharge Police Post Goran during surprise check point laid near Chanoori Khad has successfully foiled bovine smuggling attempt in the area, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued nine bovines which were being smuggled by foot.
The bovine smugglers identified as Alam Hussain S/o Nawab Din R/o Pathwar tehsil Majalta district Udhampur and Nazir S/o Bughi R/o Chak Manga Gujjran tehsil & district Samba have been arrested.
A case FIR No FIR No. 54/2024 U/S 188 IPC has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. It is pertinent to mention here that Samba Police has yesterday foiled major bovine smuggling attempt and rescued forty bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers in Lala Chak area falling under Police Post Rajpura, Ghagwal. |
