| Scrutiny for plays for drama festival begins | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 24- The final scrutiny for the plays to be selected for the upcoming annual drama festival of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages got underway today at K L Saigal Hall. The rehearsal schedule to be scrutinized by the panel of judges would be held till March 2 wherein nearly eighteen theatrical groups have submitted their scripts for the performance. Giving the details of the procedure, Sudhir Mahajan, senior Drama Instructor of the Academy said that the participating teams have to submit their scripts with the Academy for short listing the best plays for the final show which usually becomes as one of the main annual event in theatrics in Jammu. “We have directed 18 participating teams for a rehearsal schedule on given dates and time which will be witnessed by the panel of judges who will shortlist the plays for the festival, the dates of which are all likely to be scheduled for mid March,” said Sudhir Mahajan.
