Awareness Programmes on HIV/AIDS concluded

Jammu, Feb 27: Awareness generation Programs on HIV| AIDS and drug de-addiction of six days concluded today at Harsa Dabbar in Tehsil Bishnah Jammu by Shakti women welfare Society Jammu under the aegis of J&K Aids Control Society .at Village Harsa Dabbar in which large number of people of the area participated. These programms were also conducted at villages Amir Nagar, Govind Nagar, Chourli, Tara Chack and Selhar Bishnah Jammu.
Prominent person of the area Sh. Swaran Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
The other Renowned persons and social activists of the area shaveta sharma,Ajeet Singh ex Sarpanch , Tinka ex Panch, Kali Ram, Subash Sharma, Chander Balbir Singh attended the programs as special resource persons Swaran Singh delivered the lecture on the topic of HIV/AIDS and drug de- addiction in detail and imparted awareness to the participants.
He impressed upon youth to come forward and discharge their assigned role in the eradication of the drug addiction menace from society for its progress and prosperity.
He also said that drug addiction is a big social evil that needs to be eradicated from society which is the need of the hour.
Shaveta Sharma, Kali Ram, Subash Chander Sharma, Tinka and others also addressed the program and imparted awareness to the participants in length on how to take preventive measures to prevent the spreading of HIV| AIDS, a dreaded disease in the society so that our society always remains healthy and fit.
Refreshment was also served to the participants in the program.
Nidhi Kohli Coordinator of Shakit Women welfare society also threw light on the subject in detail and appealed to participants to spread this awareness and message of the program to people at the gross root level so that they are benefited and educated with such awareness programs and in the end she extended vote of thanks to the participants.
