JKMS organized inter school sports fest

JAMMU, Feb 28: JK Montessorie School organized an Inter School Sports Fest to promote healthy life style and physical fitness. The students from various schools enthusiastically participated in it.
The event commenced with the arrival of the special guest Madhu Kapoor Principal Smart Kids. The event was also graced by the presence of Sanjeev Gupta Chairperson JKMS, Rajni Gupta Director JKMS, Apurv Gupta Dean Academics JKMS.
The guests were extended a floral welcome. After lighting of the traditional lamp by all the dignitaries , the Sports Meet was declared open.
The school choir mesmerised the audience with an inspiring welcome song followed by the Formal Welcome Address given by Aarti Gupta Principal JKMS.
The main aim of holding the Sports Fest was to create awareness about the importance of sports , fitness and health among the students for their overall development.
The games in which the students participated were Sorting the Ball, Pick the Object Race, Paste the Carrot Rabit Race, Goal with Pom-Pom, Lemon Race and Tower Making. The most intriguing aspect embellishing the event was the field display based on the theme ' Fit Body, Fit Mind, Fit Environment' involving mass student participation which splattered all over the ground.
The Fest was successful in instilling the importance of having a healthy lifestyle in the students. The students participated with the spirit of sportsmanship.
The Special Guest Madhu Kapoor congratulated the winners and appreciated the students and the faculty members whose persistent and untiring efforts made the event a success . She said that a proper balance between studies and sports is necessary in one's life.
The Special Guest along with all the dignitaries presented medals to the winners. Participation certificates were also given to all the participants.
A Series of items consisting of Yoga and Martial Arts were also presented by the students to lighten the atmosphere. The Formal Vote of Thanks was given by the Co-ordinator of the school Sonia Kapoor. The event ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
