Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 28: As global travel surges post-pandemic, concerns regarding lost or mishandled baggage have become increasingly prevalent. In a pioneering move to address this, Vi, a leading telecom operator, has collaborated with US-based Blue Ribbon Bags to offer a worry-free travel experience for Vi Postpaid international travellers.
According to a report by SITA, over 26 million pieces of luggage were delayed, lost, or damaged in 2022 alone, emphasizing the need for effective baggage management solutions. Recognizing this, Vi has introduced an industry-first initiative where Vi Postpaid users can pre-book an International Roaming (IR) Pack for travel scheduled before April 7, 2024, and receive complimentary cover for delayed or lost baggage.
Under this exclusive offer, travellers availing select unlimited international roaming plans-10 days @ Rs. 3999, 14 days @ Rs. 4999, and 30 days @ Rs. 5999-between February 26, 2024, and March 21, 2024, will be eligible for this service.
Here's how it works:
Book a Vi international roaming pack before March 21, 2024, for travel before April 7, 2024, to qualify for the complimentary Blue Ribbon Bags service.
Register with Blue Ribbon Bags prior to your flight.
Check-in your baggage at the airport.
In case of baggage delay or loss by the airline, file a report with both the airline and Blue Ribbon Bags within 24 hours of landing.
Blue Ribbon Bags will utilize its global network and technology to track and expedite the return of your baggage.
If your baggage is not returned within 4 days, Blue Ribbon Bags guarantees payment of Rs. 19,800 per bag, no questions asked.
This initiative underscores Vi's commitment to enhancing the overall travel experience for its customers, providing them with peace of mind and reassurance during their international journeys. Grabbing this opportunity will not only ensure seamless connectivity but also offer invaluable protection for your luggage, making every journey a worry-free adventure.
