Five-day crash course on New Criminal Laws-2023 concludes successfully

JAMMU, Feb 28: The recently concluded five-day Crash Course on the new Criminal Laws-2023, held at the Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA), witnessed active participation from fifty police personnel ranging from Constables to Inspectors of Jammu and Kashmir Police, District Jammu. The course, organized under the directives of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Headquarters, aimed to familiarize participants with the essential provisions of the newly promulgated Criminal Laws-2023 by the Central Government, ensuring effective implementation on the ground. The valediction function, held at the Academy, featured Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, and Deputy Director (Indoor) SKPA, as the chief guest. In his closing address, Shri Gupta underscored the significance of comprehending all three new Criminal Laws - Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 - for their proficient application in law enforcement post-implementation. Eminent speakers, including Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, Amit Kumar Sehgal, Sukhvir Singh, Sheikh Shakeel, Jasbir Singh, and Supriya Chouhan, delivered insightful lectures focusing on understanding the intricacies of the New Criminal Laws to address contemporary challenges in law enforcement.
The course, expertly coordinated by Rakesh Sambyal, Chief Prosecuting Officer, with assistance from SI Subash Chander SKPA Udhampur, received commendation for its comprehensive curriculum and interactive sessions. It provided a valuable platform for police personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills, equipping them to navigate the complexities of modern law enforcement effectively.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police towards continuous professional development, ensuring that law enforcement officers are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to uphold justice and maintain law and order effectively.
