Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 28: Former Chief Minister and chairman of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), Ghulam Nabi Azad, characterized the National Conference and the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) as the “A” teams of the ruling BJP during a rally in Doda on Wednesday.
Azad, the former leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, criticized the leaders of both regional parties in Jammu and Kashmir for now labeling DPAP as a "B" team of the BJP while they had previously aligned closely with the Saffron Party. Without directly naming individuals, Azad pointed out the historical connections between the leaders of the National Conference and PDP with the BJP.

ry between these parties and the BJP, notably during the NDA government led by Atal Behari Vajpayee and the PDP-BJP coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir from 2015 to 2018. Earlier, Azad also shed light on late-night meetings sought by National Conference leaders with the central government, suggesting negotiations for an alliance with the BJP. He criticized the inconsistency in the statements of the Abdullahs, alleging different messages delivered in different locations.
Furthermore, Azad highlighted his opposition to the abrogation of Article 370 during his time as the leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, contrasting his vocal stance with the silence of other parliamentarians, particularly from the National Conference, during crucial debates.
