Awareness programmes on HIV/AIDS concludes

JAMMU, Feb 29: Awareness generation Programs on HIV| AIDS and drug de-addiction of six days concluded today at village Kotli Charkan in Tehsil Bishnah Jammu by Public Welfare Organization under the aegis of J&K Aids Control Society which was attended by a large number of people of the area. The programs were also conducted at villages Deoli, Laswara, Chack Waziru, Makhanpur Charkan, and Phinder in rural areas in Bishnah Jammu.
Renowed person of the area Sh. Gopal Singh (Numberdar) was the chief guest on occasion. The other prominent persons of the area Ajeet Singh (ex-Sarpanch), Anoop Singh, Dileep Singh, Romesh Kumar Sharma, and Tinka also attended the programs as special resource persons. Gopal Singh delivered the lecture on the topic of HIV/AIDS and drug addiction in detail and imparted awareness to the participants. He impressed upon the youth to come forward and discharge their assigned role in the eradication of the drug addiction menace from society for its overall progress and prosperity. Ajeet Singh Ex Sarpanch also delivered a lecture on the topics and said that drug addiction is a big social evil that needs to be eradicated from society once and for all and urged for organizing more such camps in rural areas for the general awareness of the people.
Anoop Singh, Dileep Singh, Romesh Kumar, and others also addressed the program and imparted awareness to the participants in length on how to take preventive measures to prevent the spreading of HIV| AIDS, a dreaded disease in society so that our society always remains healthy and fit. Refreshment was also served to the participants in the programs.
President of Public Welfare organization Soni Pandita also threw light on the subject in detail and appealed to participants to spread this awareness and message of the program to people at the gross root level so that they benefit and be educated with such awareness programs and the end she also extended vote of thanks to the participants.
