RAJOURI, Feb 29: Senior Congress leaders of Twin border districts today addressed an impressive rally here today and claimed that INDIA block shall win the Anantnag- Rajouri Poonch seat with huge margin.
A meeting of prominent leaders and office bearers of the Congress was held here today to review the preparedness for the loK sabha elections and organizational activities in the border region which was attended by the functionaries of Dist, block, Mahila,Youth Congress and other frontal wings..
Senior Vice President PCC & Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma was Chief guest Vice president PCC incharge Rajouri Jahangir Mir,former Dy Chairman Legislative Council was guest of honor & Mir, Former Minister DCC President Shabir Ahmed presided over the meeting.
PCC General Secretary Iftikhaar Ahmed, PCC Secretary Ashok Sharma, Parveen Shah, Lalit Mahajan, Anil Chopra,, Rajesh Gupta, Amit Sayal, Vijay Guru, Farooq Ahmed, Adv Zunaid Chaudhry, Adv Dalfi, Rajinder Singh, Nirmal Singh, Mirza Nasirullah, Zubaida Begum. & ors.
The party workers whole heartedly supported the party high command for taking appropriate decision with regards to seat sharing and said that Congress is strong enough to win and fully support the coalition candidate for victory with huge margin.
Ravinder Sharma said that people are fed up with the bluffs of BJP & failures on various promises made in the past. Today youth, farmers and employees besides daily wagers are already on roads and raising their voice against the government policies but government is crushing the voice of common man. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi under the leadership of Cong President Mallikarjun Kharge is fighting against injustice and to safeguard democracy & right to speach. Jahangir Mir lashed out the anti people,anti democracy and policies of division of BJP and said that Congress alone can safeguard secularism and brotherhood in the country. He said that party with like minded parties would form the government at the centre as there is large scale resentment amongst poor sections of the country. Shabir Ahmed Khan in his address said that the people are prepared to fully support the Congress party and INDIA coalition in the Lok Sabha & assembly elections. The people want restoration of statehood and early assembly election's . He criticised the BJP government for failure to give jobs, check price rise, enhance pensions, regularize the daily wagers and crushing the voice of farmers. He said that people are aware of real challenges and issues faced by the country and people and will vote for progressive policies of Congress.
