UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Today marked the initiation of two significant training courses at the S.K Police Academy in Udhampur, aimed at enhancing the skills and knowledge of J&K Police personnel. The first course, spanning five days, delves into the intricacies of New Criminal Laws, while the second, a two-day program, focuses on Ethics and Soft Skills. A total of 68 officers and officials, ranging from Constable to Inspector ranks, are actively participating in these enriching courses.
The primary objective of the five-day course is to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of the recent developments in criminal legislation, emphasizing noteworthy changes. Participants are being equipped with the requisite knowledge and understanding to effectively address contemporary challenges in law enforcement. Interactive discussions, enabling comparisons between old and new laws, are enhancing comprehension and facilitating practical application. This initiative underscores the unwavering commitment of the Police to provide pertinent training, ensuring personnel remain abreast of evolving law enforcement practices.
An inaugural function held at SKPA saw Shri Rajinder Kumar Gupta, IPS, SSP, Dy. Director (Indoor), gracing the occasion as the chief guest. In his welcoming address, Shri Gupta extended a warm welcome to all participants, affirming their readiness to confront contemporary challenges in law enforcement. He also shed light on the distinctions between old and new laws, emphasizing the importance of adapting to evolving legal frameworks. This initiative reiterates SKPA's dedication to furnishing comprehensive and relevant training to its personnel, thereby empowering them to serve with excellence.
Recognizing the pivotal role of Ethics and Soft Skills in conflict resolution and fostering trustworthiness, these aspects are accentuated for effective community facilitation. As the first responders in the criminal justice system, police officers are imparted with essential Soft Skills, crucial for attending to victims of crime with patience, sympathy, compassion, and respect, thereby aiding them in their pursuit of justice.
The coordination of the five-day course on New Criminal Laws is led by Shri Amit Parkas Seghal, Sr. PO SKPA, with assistance from SI Subash Chander. The two-day course on Ethics and Soft Skills is overseen by Inspr. Sandeep Mahajan, with SI Sukhvir Singh providing support.
These meticulously crafted training endeavors reflect SKPA's steadfast commitment to continuous professional development, ensuring that J&K Police personnel are equipped with the requisite skills and knowledge to uphold the law effectively and serve the community with integrity and compassion.
