Indian Army organises a mega event Cultural Festival

Rajouri, Mar 1: Indian Army organised a mega event Cultural Festival which was conducted in Manjakote at Govt. HSS Manjakote under OP Sadbhavna. The occasion took place in the esteemed presence of Col. Raj Kumar Bishnoi Commanding Officer 155 TA Infantry Division Jammu & Kashmir Riffles and Lt. Col DK Singh 155 TA Infantry Division Galhutti l, Miss Samreen Khan Member TAC Jammu, Mr. Mohd Mushtaq CEO Rajouri, Miss Jazia Kazmi Tehsildar Manjakote, Mr. Saleem Ahmed Bhatti BMO and many other officials. Lt Col DK Singh 155 TA Infantry Division Galhutti was the Chief Guest for the day where Miss Jazia Kazmi Tehsildar Manjakote was the Guest of Honour.
A series of events took place including pahari, gojri and punjabi songs which are enjoyed by a number of audience. The purpose of the event as highlighted by the organiser Miss Samreen Khan was promotion and celebration of different cultures.
Miss Samreen khan also extended gratitude to Indian Army and appreciated Army’s efforts in nurturing the talent of youth of Manjakote Distt Rajouri. It is noteworthy that these events were organised by the people, for the people and the Army has only acted as a facilitator.
The fest aimed at promoting culture at grassroots levels, provided a platform for the budding stars of Manjakote area to showcase their talent.
The cultural songs and dances added to the “Entertainment Quotient”.
People were seen enjoying the performances.
Speaking on the occasion, Col. Raj Kumar Bishnoi appreciated the youth and local population for such a scintillating display of talent in the border area of Manjakote. He assured the gathering that Indian Army is always standing strongly behind the aspirations of Awaam for peace and prosperity in the region. He complimented the civil administration and local populace for ensuring remarkable development made in last few years. He motivated the youth to work hard for securing their future and also cautioned them to be wary of pitfalls of drug abuse and propaganda spread by the anti national elements. We all are committed and will continue to work together for maintaining a conductive environment of peace and prosperity in the region.
