Jammu, Mar 1: NSS Special Camp of SPPND GDC Samba began at village Balore with an extensive cleanliness drive.
The volunteers were flagged off by the Principal of the college, Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri . The activities started with the Morning Prayer after which volunteers shared their views on environmental awareness, health and hygiene, voter’s awareness, women empowerment. Volunteers conducted cleanliness drive in the community hall in Balore, in the village playground and inside Shiv temple followed by a door to door awareness campaign on environmental issues, personal health and hygiene and an informative talk by NSS PO, Kamlesh Bala on women education.
Sunil Chaudhary ex. Sarpanch, Village Balore, Panchayat Mananu also joined the volunteers and encouraged the students to be honest in their dealings, both academically and in their interactions with others.
This camp aims to reflect the NSS’s commitment to address relevant challenges and promoting sustainable development. |
