GDC Kunjwani organizes Career Guidance Workshop

JAMMU, Mar 2: From February 29, 2024, to March 2, 2024, the Psychological cum Career Counseling and Placement Cell of GDC Kunjwani/Sainik Colony organized a comprehensive Career Guidance 2024 workshop aimed at empowering college students. Under the guidance of Dr. Ravinder Kumar Tickoo (Principal, GDC Kunjwani), Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta (Convener), and the organizing committee, the workshop provided valuable insights into career counseling and opportunities available for students.
The three-day workshop, attended by students of GDC Kunjwani, was designed to help students excel in their respective fields. Newly appointed Principal of the college, Dr. Manisha Sarup Kohli, joined on the second day to encourage the students with her heartfelt words.
Resource persons including Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Dr. Swati Basotra (Motivational Speaker and Entrepreneur), and Dr. Neetu Dhar (Chief Coordinator and Master Trainer, JKDCUL) addressed various topics such as effective communication, self-discovery, self-development, presentation skills, career development, and time management.
Throughout the workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore their interests, strengths, and aspirations through personalized assessments. They gained valuable insights into emerging career trends and market demands. Practical guidance was provided on crafting effective resumes, cover letters, job applications, and internship programs available in their respective fields.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to personal and professional growth. Interactive discussions and practical exercises equipped attendees with actionable strategies to shape their future careers effectively.
