NHPC organises Vasant Utsav 2024

NEW DELHI, Mar 2: NHPC Limited, India's premier hydropower company, organised 'Vasant Utsav 2024' with great fervour at the NHPC Residential Complex, Surajkund, Faridabad on 2nd March 2024. The programme was inaugurated by Rajendra Prasad Goyal, CMD, NHPC in presence of R.K. Chaudhary, Director (Technical & Projects), NHPC, Santosh Kumar, CVO, NHPC, senior NHPC officers and Gayatri Goyal and other members of Ladies Welfare Association. Speaking on the occasion, Rajendra Prasad Goyal, CMD, NHPC said that 'Vasant' is time of happiness and energy which is being celebrated by NHPC. He further said that NHPC is crossing new milestones and the commissioning of its upcoming projects like 2000 MW Subansiri Lower Project and 800 MW Parbati-II Project will substantially strengthen its overall installed capacity and balance sheet.
Vasant Utsav 2024 was organized by NHPC to welcome the arrival of spring and to showcase the rich and diverse Indian culture. A number of stalls promoting local handicrafts, dress materials, food delicacies etc. from various States/Union Territories as J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam etc. were set up by NHPC power stations, projects and regional offices. The special attractions of the Utsav were performances from renowned singer Sushmita Das from Odisha and classical Odissi dance by performers from SOCH (School of Creative Hands). A special flower show was also organized on the occasion.
