| ‘Display your Talent-08- 09’ | | GCW Parade wins Inter-collegiate group song competition | |

Jammu, Feb 25- Government Women College, Parade was adjudged as the best team in the inter collegiate/department group song competition conducted by the department of students welfare, University of Jammu under the “Display your talent” 2008-09 The Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar and Government Women College Udhampur bagged second and third prizes respectively. Certificate of merit was awarded to MIER College of Education, Jammu.
Addressing the participants Prof. B.P.S. Sehgal, Dean Academic Affairs who was the chief guest at the function expressed satisfaction over the role and participation of students in all the programs organized by the department of students’ welfare.
Prof. Dhian S. Bhau while speaking on the occasion expressed his thanks to the Judges who had come all the way from Amritsar and Pathankot to asses the performance of the participants. He also appealed to the younger generation to give their best in all events to being held in final phase of display your talent.
Earlier, Vijay Atri, Assistant Dean, cultural affairs delivered the welcome address, while Dr. Arti Bakshi teacher in charge of this event read out the rules and regulations of the competition.
Kuldeep Rai, noted singer and music composer, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, senior lecturer in vocal music in Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Bhupinder Jamwal, J&K cultural academy, were amongst the adjudicators.
Among others, Prof Shohab I. Malik, associate dean (S.W.) Dr. Shaliender Singh assistant dean (S.W.), Dr. Parkah Chand Anthal, Dr. Vishvaraksha, Dr. Sucheta Pathania, Dr. Maduhkar Bhagat, Dr. Mrinalilni Atrey, Dr. Samridhi Arora, Hemant Kumar, Joint secretary and Sohan Lal were also present.
