| SNM Hospital conducts first ever Cardio Thoracic Surgery | | |

Leh, Feb 25- LAHDC, Leh has appreciated the Doctors of SNM Hospital Leh for conducting major Cardio Thoracic Surgery in the hospital some four days back, the first of its kind in medical history of Ladakh.
The major Cardio Thoracic Surgery of removal of huge hydrated Cyst of right lung of a 30 years old patient namely Tsewang Norboo was carried out successfully by a team of doctors headed by Dr. Tsering Morup, Sr. Anesthetist and Dr. Tashi Motup, Sr. Surgeon and assisted by Dr. Tsewang Namgyal, Surgeon and Dr. Yangzin, Anesthetist.
At a brief function held at SNM Hospital here today, the Executive Councillor, Health,. Dorje Mutup offered “Khataks” to the concerned Doctors and congratulated them for performing a successful major Cardio Surgery, thus setting an example of good achievement despite of limited resources and equipments in Leh Hospital.
Dorje Mutup described it as a big achievement, adding that this is a pride movement for Leh district to perform such as challenging task with success.
The Superintendent of SNM, Hospital, Dr. Wangchok also spoke on the occasion and gave a detailed summery on this achievement.
