| JCC Bank disburses Rs. 8 lakh loan amongst self help group | | |

Jammu, Feb 25- At a well attended function held at Arnb Gharota, Mohinder Singh, Chairman Jammu Central Cooperative (JCC) Bank today disbursed loan through cheques worth Rs eight lakhs amongst the self help group for setting up of Mushroom and Dairy u nits in Block Bhalwal under SGSY scheme.
While speaking on the occasion Mohinder Singh apprized the gathering about the different schemes launched by the cental/state governments. He said that most part of our Jammu province is un-irrigated where even the seasonal crops are dependant on weather condition and even a short dry spell hits the farming community a lot thereby resulting in aggravation of their problems as they have no other source of livelihood. He said that the employment opportunities in the government and private sector are shrinking day by day and in order to overcome this problem, the educated youths should be encouraged to set up small units preferably being sponsored by the government agencies, which would provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youth at their door steps. The units like Mushroom and Dairy, are most profitable units as there is unending demand of both mushroom and milk in the market, which could fetch an attractable income to the unit holder.
